It's fair to say that the CASK 'N FLAGON is a Boston sports-bar institution, a behemoth against all the other spots who hang up a few flatscreens, put on the game, and call it a day. The location doesn't hurt - when a firmly hit fastball has the potential to drop on your roof from Fenway Park, you've already got a good start. When the Red Sox turned their curse around, the Cask sunk some money into renovating the space, meaning you can't be anywhere out of view of a television. Lounging outside on their patio right on the corner of Brookline Avenue and Lansdowne Street on game day is a treat, watching fans pour into the ballpark. It's almost as good as having a seat in the bleachers.
